Cookie Policy

1. The short version
Nothing that is used for analytics or advertising is stored on your device until you say yes. When you first arrive, our analytics tags load in a consent-denied state: they can report an anonymous, cookieless page hit, but they cannot write a cookie or read an existing one.
If you accept, we switch on Google Analytics and it sets the cookies listed in section 4. If you reject, or simply close the banner, nothing changes and the tags stay switched off. You can change your mind at any time using the link in the footer of every page.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. Websites also use two related browser features, localStorage and sessionStorage, which hold data on your device but are never transmitted to a server. We use both, and section 5 lists exactly what we keep in them.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These are set by Cloudflare, which serves and protects this site. They exist to keep the site available and to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. They are not used for analytics or advertising, and under UK law they do not require consent, so they are set whatever you choose in the banner.

4. Analytics cookies — only after you accept
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people actually find useful. These cookies are set only once you have accepted them and are deleted by clearing your browser storage.
We do not describe this as anonymous. The _ga cookie holds a persistent identifier for your browser, which is personal data under UK GDPR even though it does not contain your name. Google acts as our processor for it, and we do not sell it.
We also measure conversions for our own advertising. Those tags are held to the same rule: the advertising consent signals start denied and are only granted if you accept.

We also load a Google Tag Manager container. The container itself sets no cookies; it is a mechanism for loading tags, and any tag loaded through it is subject to the same consent signals described above.
5. Browser storage that is not a cookie
The items below are held in your browser’s local or session storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. All of them are necessary for a feature you asked for, so none of them are set for tracking.

If you have been through a Stripe checkout, a short-lived sessionStorage marker beginning tit_conv_ also stops the same purchase being counted twice. It is cleared when you close the tab.
6. Third-party content
Some pages embed live previews of sites we have built, inside an iframe. Those sites are separate services and may set their own cookies once the frame loads; we have no control over them and they are covered by their own policies. We do not embed social media widgets, comment systems or advertising networks.
7. Changing or withdrawing your choice
- On this site: use in the footer. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting, and takes effect immediately.
- In your browser: every major browser can block or delete cookies for a specific site. Clearing this site’s storage also clears our record of your choice, so you will be asked again on your next visit.
- Across all sites: Google publishes a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Blocking the strictly necessary Cloudflare cookies may mean you are challenged repeatedly or cannot reach the site at all. Rejecting analytics has no effect on how the site works.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a cookie, this page and the table above change with it. Where a change alters what we ask permission for, the banner reappears and asks again rather than assuming your previous answer still applies.
